DESIGN ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads the efforts of Design Engineering staff to provide cost-effective design and drafting services for plant improvement projects.
- Ensures design compliance with company’s program.
- Monitors quality of drafting for the documentation process through the QA & QC program.
- Updates and maintains technical records and Engineering Library.
- Provides documentation and managing database of drafting and design projects.
- Performs squad checks on in-house design and drafting projects to ensure quality and accuracy of design and to minimize errors and changes in the field due to such errors.
- Provides technical support to all drafting and design personnel; troubleshoots and maintains drafting department computer workstations and drafting design software.
- Evaluates and keeps current software and hardware technologies that promote increased productivity from designers and draftsmen.
- Develops cost estimates for engineering and maintenance projects using manual, detailed estimating techniques.
- Develops detailed work packages for engineering & maintenance projects including drawings, specifications, and narrative description as required.
- Follows all safety rules and guidelines as established by the Refinery.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Drafting Technology preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experiences in designing and drafting, as well as mechanical design and drafting experience required.
- Minimum of three years design & drafting software (auto cad) experience required.
