Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Responsibilities : Oversees the full scope of human resources in First Media Business Unit

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position manages and administers plans and/or programs to ensure the most effective utilization of human resources to support Business Units Objectives and Goals. This must be accomplished within the framework of the organization’s overall corporate policies, plans, and programs. The position requires knowledge, skills, & hands on experiences/ involvement in all Human Resources areas including, but not limited to, staffing, job evaluation/ analysis, compensation, performance management, employee development, organization development. The emphasis is on adaptation and implementation of specific policies and initiatives in the business unit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Hybrid role that manages the administration of human resource policies, programs, and practices in business unit & at the same time liaise with corporate in utilizing the needed resources
  • Functions as a business partner with business unit management to plan and implement programs to meet human resource requirements supporting short-term and long-term business needs.
  • Creates and implements progressive HR solutions supporting business unit objectives.
  • Implements corporate practices into business unit operations.
  • Facilitate communication between various levels of the operation.
  • Assure implementation and administration of compensation and benefit programs.
  • Develop guidelines & implement employee training and development programs in line with corporate programs.
  • Assures an effective performance management process is utilized for all employees.
  • Manages recruitment process for salaried employees review organization structure and job design with hiring manager, identifies sourcing techniques, screens candidates, conducts phone screens and sets up and conducts interviews, establishes selection criteria to identify top talent and counsels managers on selection and making job offers.   • Implements effective safety, affirmative action, and other employee relations programs and special events
  • Manages performance management process for facility salary employees, insures goals are set, mid-year reviews completed, development plans established and executed, final reviews are completed on time, performance ratings are calibrated between departments and salary plans are submitted on time. Insures hourly annual performance reviews are completed.
  • Counsels leaders on dealing with employee relations and employee performance issues

Job Qualification:

  • Bachelor Degree  in Human Resource Management / Psychology/ or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of all round HR experience with technical competence gained within all HR aspects, ideally within a fast moving, progressive organization.
  • Previous experience in managing Human Resources function in an Information & Communication Technology company & / or MNC will be an advantage.
  • Goal Oriented, manage priority & focus on delivering quality result
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Fluency to communicate in English (written & spoken)
